Aloha

Give you loved ones the natural beauty of Hawai’I this season!

You don’t have to live in Hawai’i to give your friends and family the beauty of the Islands. In anticipation of the holiday season, we asked spa expert Sherrie Strausfogel to test mountains of made in Hawai’i beauty products. The items put out by these four companies, all of which use only natural ingredients, rose to the top. They’re easy to order and ship and are certain to spread joy and goodwill to men—and women—this holiday season.

The Soap Box

Husband-and-wife duo Steve Cromwell and Jo Ann Takushi started making soap in their ‘Aiea home on O’ahu. As demand grew, they moved to a warehouse in Waipahu, where they remain today. But they still make each soap by hand. The translucent glycerin soaps, which come in a rainbow of vivid colors and luscious scents, have a slice of loofah embedded inside for easy scrubbing of feet, elbows and knees. Cole-processed soap bars contain macadamia nut oil, shea butter, or cocoa butter to moisturized skin an are available in 13 exotic fragrance, including seaweed. The slipper soaps, which sit on a loofah pad, make a delightful stocking stuffer. You can visit: soapboxhawaii.com (808) 284-6170. - Sherrie Strausfogel
